China's metals and mining shares have suffered significant declines so far this year, but analysts say the drop may be overdone despite the potential for a slowdown in construction activity. THE Democratic Republic of Congo would see revenue from the mining industry more than triple this year after increased copper production, Gold output would jump to 3559kg in 2012 from 220kg last year, it said. A number of gold projects around the country are expected to go online in the next few years, including concessions run by Banro and the Kibali Gold project, a joint venture between Randgold Resources, AngloGold Ashanti and Congo's state- owned gold miner Okimo.
