None of the water vending units that we produce include reverseosmosis water filtration. There is a very sound reason for notdoing so. Generally, the only times this type of treatment isneeded is when the total dissolved solids (TDS) count is above 500parts per million. If the vending water machine is to be hooked upto a water source that has already been treated by a public utilityor water treatment plant, then the amount of TDS has already beenreduced below this threshold.As long as your source of water hasalready received treatment then using a reverse osmosis waterfiltration process is simply a case of overkill, or, solving aproblem that you dont have. There will be situations, however, whenit becomes necessary to use an RO system. If the source of thewater going to your water vending machine has never been treatedthen the RO membrane will remove a significant number of dissolvedminerals. In order to reduce maintenance of the membrane an ROsystem requires prefiltration using a sediment and carbon filter toremove solid particles and chlorine and to extend the life of themembrane. It will take but a few moments to hook up an RO system tosupply our water vending units without the need of any specialtools or equipment.
