Autronic is a Slovenian company, established in 1985 in the city of Au, Germany.Autronic fully employs 5 individuals and works with 7 external co-operators, all electrical engineers or computer university graduates.Autronic has respectfully managed to earn and create itself a good name in the field of navigation, despite of its short reference list. Even more, Autronic is very well-known in the Slovenian market. For several years we have been successful in selling navigation equipment on portable, PDA and mobile computers. Solutions are based on our own route calibration and nautical maps and by choosing appropriate computer equipment for vehicles or boats, all in connection to high quality navigation instruments.The trend of the company is turning towards development of additional satellite navigation modules and towards special equipment sales.Autrace, a vehicle and boat tracing system, is one of the products we have started to develop a few years ago, along with the Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport in Slovenia. The majority of the additional value earned at Autronic in the past two years is assigned to the development of the Autrace system. The project is led by a doctor of computer science and supported by cooperators who are computer or geodetic university graduates.We are proud to acknowledge that the Autrace project has been with its technological development openly welcomed by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2006 who has also offered us financial support.Our company has a supporting role in a co-operation agreement with the Faculty of omputerSciences (FER) in Zagreb, Croatia and together we are working on a tracking system that will be a part of several European projects as soon as Croatia becomes a member of the European Union.
