Nanoptic Inc. is a newly established small venture business devoted to development of MOEMS (Micro-Optical-Electro-Mechanical System) devices based on MEMS manufacturing technology and micro-precision mold processing technology. Its main business is to manufacture Uncooled Infrared Imaging Products and Micro Plastic Lens & related molds for Infrared/Visible light.IR Imaging products so far have been mostly used as expensive military night visions (FLIR) due to lack of manufacturing technologies. But now, civil applications in the fields of industry, security and medical science are on a rapidly increasing trend owing to price falls due to the recent progress in MEMS technology. As a wide range of applications is expected in domestic market, Nanoptic has its main objective to localize and export IR imaging products based on its long experience in MEMS development. Nanoptic is aiming to develop telecommunication-related micro CCD/CMOS cameras and related optic parts by incorporating micro-precision optic mold and optic parts production technology with MEMS manufacturing technology. The company is concentrating its efforts on R&D of Lab-on-a-chip and Micro-TAS which are opto-electronic systems for diagnosis in medical bio-technology, which is one of the future new industries.Nanoptic will make its dream come true to be an R&D-centered company who will lead the new industry revolution of 21st century in Korea and in the world as well by developing optoelectronic system related to telecommunication, nano-technology and bio-technology.
