Formica Group operates in the market of colored synthetic stones for over 20 years.
It is well established that the major problem in the production of CZ and many other synthetic crystals is the unevenness of colors. At the same time, glasses are quite uniform in color they are inferior to the synthetic minerals which have a higher refractive index, more brilliance, extreme hardness and higher density. Also it is known that glasses as well as many synthetic crystals do no posses such properties as superior thermal shock resistance and as a result cannot be used in the high temperature wax casting.
The founders of the Formica Ltd. were colleagues - scientists of the Geological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia. The implementation of the best achievements in the crystal growth of the Soviet school contributed to the fast company growth. Over time, the main production and business activities of the company moved from Russia to Thailand. Currently, "Formica Group" comprises of 9 companies in different countries and cities, with total staff of 120 people.
