Company Introduction
Wakup develops and sells safe, easy to use, non-caffeine energy products that help consumers stay alert when they are feeling drowsy. Our target markets include drowsy drivers, sleepy college students and overworked business people.
Our Products
Our initial product is Wakup Energy Gel. In addition to water, it has a pleasant-smelling oil blend consisting of peppermint, lemon, black pepper, lemongrass, sandalwood and rosemary, plus menthol, glycerin and polyacrylamide. Wehave made sure that all of these ingredients are classified by the FDA as "Generally Recognized As Safe" (GRAS). The ingredients are held in a smart hydrogel (patent pending) which contains the ingredients at room temperature. When applied to the upper lip, though, the increased skin temperature causes the hydrogel to release the effective ingredients so they can be inhaled. This timed-release process continues for up to an hour.

Shaojun Yao, M.B.A., Ph.D., is Wakup's President and Founder. Shaw is Wakup's Principal Scientist, and is in charge of the company s R&D. He has done extensive research in hydrogels, and is the inventor of Wakup's patent-pending core technology.
