By the vision the economy will at the time have been transformed from low productivity agriculture to semi-industrialized led by cultural activities. It will be integrated and buttressed by industrial and service activities. A solid foundation for competitive and dynamic economy with high productivity will have been laid.Tanzania has already taken many steps and initiatives to accomplish the desired results and among the interesting area is petroleum sector which has seen a lot of changes following the business liberalization. With different types of initiatives and efforts carried out by the Association of oil companies and Ministry we have observed the positive impact of this scenario bringing about partial harmonization of business practice resulting to having plenty of fuels in the market as compared to the neighboring countries.In view of this, the Government has encouraging private investors to invest in the oil industry and as a result the Government has granted trading licences to a number of companies wishing to carry out petroleum business operations in the country.It is encouraging to note that to date there are more than 30 local companies as a result of the Government initiative to empower people we have observed many newly established oil companies owned by Tanzanian nationals something which was thought to be impossible in the past as the petroleum business was
