Polyamide NYLON is one of the most valuable engineering plastics, particularly for applications requiring high mechanical properties, along with chemical and temperature resistance, plus an excellent finish. Polyamide is often the answer for designers seeking weight savings, function integration, design freedom and cost reduction.
Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) is a semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastic that is used as an insulator in the electrical and electronics. Un-reinforced grades offer performance typical of a crystalline polymer, combining good strength and stiffness with low moisture absorption, exceptional thermal stability, excellent electrical insulation properties, outstanding dimensional stability and resistance to the effects of a wide range of chemicals, solvents, and oils.
Polycarbonate (PC) is becoming more common in housewares as well as laboratories and in industry, especially in applications where any of its main features such as high impact resistance, temperature resistance, optical properties are required.
Initially focused on manufacturing and compounding of Polyamide 6 resin, today the business offers several engineered compounds under following brands

We have a dedicated development center and all grades/products are developed in-house.

New Application Development Center
The Engineering Plastics Business of SRF has a dedicated application development department at one of its plants in Manali near Chennai which is equipped with a dedicated extruder and QA department to develop tailor made grade for its customers.
