Solesta solar systems was founded byJeroen Noij and Jacob van Berkel in 2006. Having worked asdevelopers and researchers in the Dutch solar thermal energysector, both founders have built up extensive experience in thefield. Their knowledge and experience was used to develop andbuild the Solesta innovative solar powered boiler. Their startingpoints were: ‘lightweight’, ‘compact’, ‘easy to install’,‘reliable’ and last but not least‘cost-effective’. For many years alreadySolesta solar systems successfully produces and sells aunique, and easy to install/maintenance free solar boiler systemthat fits in every kind of home.The 100 litre thermal storage tank made ofplastics weights16 kg only and can easily beinstalled!As the Solesta solarboiler is cheaper than the competition, with a comparable output,Solesta’s pay back period is the lowest in the market! By now, Solesta employs 16 full-timemembers of staff as well as a number of part-timers and a team ofassembly and distribution employees. Our ambition is to grow, notonly in size but also in terms of our product range. Solesta’smarket is not limited to The Netherlands. In fact, many of theopportunities lie abroad. In 2011 and 2012, the company signeddeals with strategic partners and distributers in the UnitedKingdom, France and Belgium. Solestawants to further extend its presence in foreign markets.
