Roma Plastik, founded in 1996, is the largest production plant manufacturing PVC, ABS and Melamine edgebands in Turkey.Roma Plastik is the leading edgebanding manufacturer in the Turkish market with Quality being the main criteria since the start of their operations.
Roma Plastik was the first and remains, the only company that produces PVC/ABS/PMMA, Melamine and Aluminum edgebands under the same roof. Currently 50 % of the turnover is domestic and 50% export.
The SAP software system, accredited as being the elite in software, was implemented in 2000 when the company moved to its purpose-built factory in Gebze.
In 2001 the export department was set up with high activity in developing the Roma brand outside of Turkey. This included extensive visits and participation at international trade shows in the major countries. This activity included the setting up of representative offices in targeted markets as well.
In 2005, the second phase of the expansion plan was initiated; new factory and warehousing facilities were built to reach a total of 30,000 sqm plant area.
As of 2008, export growth continues at 20% each year. The split between domestic and export sales is 50-50.
Roma Plastik now exports to more than 50 countries in 5 continents and employs 20 dedicated staff in its export department.
Roma Plastik, with its 60% domestic market share is the leader edgebanding company in Turkey as well as the Balkans and the Middle-East.
In 2010 the Tyrolean wood based panel producer EGGER took over 71.5 percent of the company shares of the Turkish edge manufacturer. The remaining 28.5 percent are held by the Roma management. This co-operation establishes Roma as one of the most important edgeband manufacturers whose presence and influence will continue to expand in the world markets.

Today Roma Plastik has 550 employees in Turkey and overseas and is planning to increase that number in line with its future expansion plans.
