The Italian member of this Committee is CEI (Italian Electrotechnical Committee). Purpose of CENELEC is to draw up standards and rules and standardise them at European level, and to work in strict co-operation with the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) to let them acknowledged and applied at a world-wide level.
