PKSB was set up under thepurview of Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), as aForeign Investment Company (FIC). PKSB is licensed by MIDA as amanufacturing company.During the early years, PKSB acted as the regional procurementcenter for its principal stake holder, CONSUMER PRODUCTS EST (CPE)of Saudi Arabia. CPE is an importer cum distributor of bothelectrical and non-electrical products in the Middle East andNorthern Africa (MENA) region.Upon discovering that there ia a great demand for Malaysian madeConsumer Electrical Home Appliances in the MENA region. PKSB withthe support of CPE, ventured into the manufacturing sector. Duringthis time, PKSB registered as an exporter with Malaysian ExternalTrade Development Corporation (MATRADE).In early 2006, PKSB set up the assembly plant in Shah Alam and in2008 an assembly plant was also set up in Jakarta, Indonesia underPT Prima Komited. PKSB invested millions in ringgits in the settingup of an assembly plant in Shah Alam. This investment includesdesign,mold,pattern,trademark,copy rights and procurement ofequipments,components of parts and finally investment into humancapital.PKSB now has a network of more than 300 electrical products dealerand chain store/hypermarket. PKSB also has export markets in SouthEast Asia, MENA and South America.
