Panacom Technology Corporation is a security solutions and integration company established in 1998.
Panacom initially embarked on designing and manufacturing video phones and computer telephony integration (CTI) products for OEM/ODM consumers. In this endeavor, it acquired a patent for developing applications for the H.324 (Terminal for Low Bit-rate Multimedia Communication) standard.
By the turn of the century, however, an entirely new application for digital video transference and processing was gaining popularity due to growing general concern for security. It then became apparent that an exciting new field needed to be expanded and a burgeoning market needed to be catered. Panacom purposefully redirected its research and manufacturing resources to digital video surveillance. In 2003, Panacom released digital video recorders based on the H.263 and MJPEG platforms and established itself as a domicile of adaptable everyday surveillance. And by 2010, Panacom updated its spectrum of products with the H.264 DVR platform.
