Location:Located in Tisdale,Saskatchewan, Canada, in the heart of the fertile Carrot RiverValley and home to some of the best farmland in the province. Thisagricultural region has a very diverse cropping rotation thatincludes production of staple crops such as cereals, (oats, barley,wheat, and rye), oilseeds, (canola and flax), and pulses (dry greenand yellow field peas, faba beans and lentils). It is also one ofCanada’s most significant production areas for forage and grassseed, including alfalfa, clovers, and many grass types.During the peakgrowing season the average temperature is approximately 15 degreesCelsius, the combination of warm days and cool humid nights providea perfect ecological balance between plant nurturing and plantstress, an excellent environment for a diverse croppingrotation. Activity:The core activity ofour company remains producer contracting, commercial seedrepresentation, and processing and distribution of seed cultivatedin north eastern Saskatchewan. With the ever-changing trends in theagricultural sector the augmentation of organic producers in thearea has been substantial and NNSL is emerging as a global conduitto assist in meeting this demand for organically producedcommodities. We are certified organic for NOP and EU standards withCanadian Seed Institute. NNSL has developed an extensive producerbase throughout western Canada and a growing contract consumptionbase that we work closely with to maintain the health of our tradebusiness.
