Towards the later part 15th century, navigators set sail and followed a pattern of wind that became known as the Trade Winds. These winds facilitated an extraordinary series of journeys, allowing intrepid explorers to round the southern tip of Africa, establish shipping routes to India and Japan; to reach the Americas and finally to circumnavigate the globe. All of these explorers ultimately had one thing in common; they were merchants of trade. They bought commodities like spices and silks where they were cheap, then made the long, difficult voyages that would create new markets and unlock value. Like these explorers, Today, Merchant-Tradewinds seeks to identify economic opportunities of trade anywhere in the world, and realize these opportunities for our customers and partners
