Mebel-Gen is located in the town of Shumen, North-East Bulgaria. It has its own production site and facilities spread on an area of 18 000 sq. M.
Mebel-Gen is a manufacturer of solid wood furniture. The company is specialized in nursery furniture - crib, cot, cradle, complete furniture sets for children. The assortment includes original company designs and products on customer's request. Furniture items are available in natural finishes and painted colours.
Mebel-Gen company was established in 1997 as a Joint Stock Company by Mebel Corporation (BG) and the foreign investor Genex-3 Company, New York (USA).
Since Mebel Corp. Was founded back in 1947, the newly established company inherited the long-term experience in woodworking and qualified workers of Mebel Corporation. In addition, investments were made in new woodworking machinery and certification under ISO 9001.
In 1997, Mebel-Gen began specializing in nursery furniture. Two major product lines were developed for the main target markets - North America and Europe. Production was put in conformity with the relevant requirements for nursery furniture. (Since in Bulgaria there is no certifying organization, exported products have been tested by the buyers themselves. )
For the last 5 years, production has been exported to USA, Canada, Britain, Palestine and France. Currently, main customers of Mebel-Gen are in the USA and UK.
Furniture products are made of solid wood/veneered chipboard/melamine. Accordingly, machinery is suitable for solid wood and chipboard woodworking. Wood is dried in two own kilns. Water-based and chemical varnishes/paints are applied. All the finishes are safe for children and lead-free.
Products can be exported knocked-down or assembled, according to customer's preferences. Semi-finished products are available also.
One shift capacity is ~ 2000 furniture items a month.
Besides nursery products, company website shows some home furniture items and hotel furniture, which are also available for sale.
