Today Kainar-AKB LLC is a company with the developed economy, complete production cycle, which means that all battery components are produced at the plant starting from component casting to assembling the finished product. In 2007-2008 Kainar Company updated most of its equipment and was listed as one of dynamically developping companies in the CIS.
The priority of the company is product quality control that is performed at every stage of the production process. The plant continuously works on the improvement of the produced batteries as well as on the product variety. In 2011 Kainar Company is planning to start developing and producing batteries that correspond with the needs of the following companies, Kazakhstani railroad, tele-communication, power stations and oil companies. So starting this year the plant's main focus is development of a new type battery to provide solution for the internal market needs in Kazakhstan (today stationary/industrial, traction/backup batteries are not produced in the country).
The lead battery manufacturing plant in Taldykorgan had been built in 1970-1975. The first car battery was produced on January 13, 1975. Shortly, a variety of car batteries started to be produced. The lead battery manufacturing plant in Taldykorgan was listed as one of the five battery producers in the territory of the USSR.
Formation of "Kainar" coincided with the time-frame for the period of proclamation of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the transition to a market economy.
