General Use HID
HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamp is created by an electrical discharge between two electrodes in an air tight tiny quartz capsule which is filled with argon gas, mercury and metal halide salts etc. HID lamps operate at higher pressures and the arc formed emits light in the visible spectrum.
There are three basic types of HID lamps: Mercury Vapour, Metal halide, and Sodium lamps. HID lamps generally find use in applications such as the street, commercial, board, warehouse, and sports lighting and so on.
