History Julian and Paula Carter started to work together in 1988 when Paulawon the Prince of Wales Award for design, they created the LittleDarlings stable of brands, which included Little Darlings, LittleDarlings Christening, Baby Darlings, Sulk and Lily Rio. A long the way Paula also found time to design clothing for PrinceWilliam and Harry, a Thai Princess and a host of celebritychildren. With the business flourishing in the 90s, the time came to expand,which led to Little Darlings becoming a division of William BairdPLC, a major fashion business with a turnover in excess of £750million. The Carters design and commercial expertise and the William Bairdoperation made Little Darlings an extremely profitable and highprofile fashion brand which still enjoys a major market sharetoday. Having achieved their ambitions in the childrens wear industry, theCarters left Little Darlings in 2007 to take a break and look forinspiration elsewhere. Since then amongst other things theyhave been business angels, renovated a rambling house inNorthamptonshire, designed interiors for their development of skiapartments in Switzerland and founded a successful digitalmarketing agency. The new collection _ itty London However, Paulas passion for kids wear has taken the Carters back tothe childrens wear industry for Spring Summer 2016 with their newbrand Itty London and a dedicated manufacturing facility. The collection designed exclusively by Paula is for girls from 2 to12 years, but babies havent been forgotten either. Initially there are four stories of co-ordinating separates anddresses. All items are perfectly colour matched, and can bemixed and matched between the different stories Itty is very much designed to be something special, enjoyable andcomfortable to wear, made from soft jacquards, damasks, chiffons,crisp cotton poplins, denims and knits in soft pastel colours. Different looks within the collections can bedressed up for special occasions with fascinators and coordinatingtrench coats. Or dressed down to be smart-casual for holidays andparties with denim separates, clever accessories and forGlastonbury, of course, a pair of muddy wellies! .All the garments have details such as branded buttons, adjustablewaists, stretch fabrics, exclusive prints and much more.
