Huachang Polymer Co., Ltd was originally founded in 1979 as a chemical factory affiliated with the East China College of Chemistry & Engineering. In 1998 Huachang Polymer was restructured as a corporation. East China University of Science & Technology (ECUST) owns a majority interest in the company. As a key national-class university, ECUST is know as “the cradle of chemical engineers.” Huachang Co. has emerged directly from the scientific atmosphere of the college campus.
