The Streetboard:
A Streetboard is a cross between skateboarding and snowboarding. The rider can use it anywhere a skateboard can be used but with the style and control of a snowboard.
Streetboarding is all about cruising along doing gliding turns or even spectacular tricks.
Using the Streetboard:
Learning to streetboard takes from 15 to 60 mins depending on ability. Thanks to a unique axle system, standing on the board and turning from side to side powers the board forward. The movement looks very similar to a snowboarder turning from side to side.
This action works on flat ground, downhill or even uphill!
An important feature of the streetboard is the control to slow down or stop instantly using the same principles as a snowboard and make very precise turns turns.
As the rider does not have to step off the board to propel it, it is possible to ride strapped to the board. This is how most riders use the board as it makes the board easy to control and jumping is very simple. Many riders have taken the jumps to an extremely high level simulating the back flips and spins done by snowboarders!
Streetboarding is recognized by the leading associations in Snowboarding as the closest sport to snowboarding allowing learning and training without ever stepping on snow.
