History of frotex sa
The history of frotex s. A. Began in the middle of xix century, when samuel frankel built linen fabric factory on the area of present frotex in 1845. Soon his factory took over competitive, bankrupt company and became the monopolist in the region.
The production of first terry fabrics and towels started in 1903. The 1st world war stopped dynamic growth of the factory, which products were known on german, English, French and American markets. By virtue of nuremberg agreement company was taken over from inheritors of samuel frankel in 1938, while they were forced to emigrate. After the 2nd world war the reconstruction of the factory were started and finished in 1949.
