The Korea International Trade Association named Eureka, Inc. the #1 spectacle frame manufacturer in Korea in 2002 in terms of export volume.Since its establishment in 1987, Eureka has developed and exported pure titanium frames, and improved various manufacturing and welding technologies.During the 1997 financial crisis, Eureka not only remained unscathed, but it even grew faster than before and succeeded in developing domestic titanium welding manufacturing techology which it made available to the public for free to contribute to the advancement of the local optical industry.Its president and CEO, Sohn Chung-Be, a Yonsei University graduate and board member of Daegu city chamber of commerce & industry, believes that only by investing heavily in R&D resources, quality enhancement and material development can the company secure a competitive edge in the global market.Of Eureka's seventy employees, eleven are researchers and two are designers at our in-house lab.Eureka has acquired the following certificates: Inno-Biz Enterprise from Korea Small & Medium Business Administration and Global leader in Pure Titanium Spectacle Frames from Korea Ministry of Industry and Resources, ISO9001, FDA and CE.
