Esjay was first established in 1982 as a small unit to wind magnetic components. Since then, the company has steadily progressed to become one of Sri Lanka's largest manufacturer of electronic components and sub - assemblies for the industry worldwide. Today it employs 250 persons.The factory is located in Homagama which is nearly 25 km both from Colombo and Katunayake International Airport. It's main activities include subcontract manufacture and export of magnetic components to the USA , Japan and Europe; The company gained the most prestigious Sri Lanka Presidential Export Award in 1993 & 1994.Esjay has nearly two decade's experience in the manufacturing of recording heads, electronic sub-assemblies, computer accessories and magnetic components.
