Erkent textiles industry and trading corporation was established in 1950 with rug production and continued up to june 1983 as union corporate association. Erkent textiles corporation production facilities are located in gaziantep turkey, totally 41.000 sq. Mt. Area, and factory building is 32.000 sq. Mt. Area. Knitting woolen yarn, acrylic yarn, blended yarn, fancy yarn, and polypropylene yarn productions are made in this area in three different factories with 600 employee.
The company improved its production quality and capacity through investments carried out in 1991 and 1996 regarding to increasing demand in the market. This contemporary approach in manufacturing carpets also showed itself in creating new designs. For this reason, a special desing room is formed in the factory and from that moment on, all the designs are created in computer technology.
At our carpet weaving factory, which has 35.000 sq. Mt. Capacity per month, we have machine made carpet production:80% for export,20% for internal market. Some of the countries that we are exporting are: Usa, germany, kuwait, and saudi arabia.
We are producing machine woven carpets made of acrylic yarns; heat-set and bcf pp yarns, both on updated weaving broadlooms of the schonherr, van de wiele and also our traditional wilton system turkish weaving looms.
Furthermore, we have a certificate of quality assurance confirmed and awarded by turkish ministry of industry and trade. It is a guarantee certificate valid in turkey for our national buyers. Plus certificate of oeko-tex standard 100(certificate of confidence in textile industry) which is international. Since our establishment, we aimed to provide the best product, service and quality to our customers.
