Ebm Werke, Germany, later to be known as ebm-papst, the world leader in the manufacture of fans incorporating the unique external rotor motor concept, entered the Indian Market in 1985 through a distribution setup with Nadi Airtechnics Pvt. Ltd. , Chennai.
Soon, the sale of these high quality fans grew exponentially and ebm joined hands with the Kamdar family to substantially increase its commitment to the Indian market in 1996, through a Joint Venture named ebm-Nadi International Pvt. Ltd. A state-of-the-art production facility set up in Chennai, India commenced production in March 1996.
