We aim to continue expanding upstream concession investment centered on businesses where our strengths lie, such as oil ,gas , LNG, coal, and rare metals, while seeking to optimize our business portfolio in terms of time scales (short-term and medium- to long term),products, and regions. In addition, our strength lies in the fact that we are engaged in distribution businesses that leverage the networks we have built up in Thailand and overseas. We regard our businesses not only in Thailand but also in overseas markets as growth areas, and by collaborating with group companies in side and outside Thailand and anticipating market needs, we are adding depth to our business expansion. This is without doubt a function unique to trading companies, and a good example is the Steel Business Unit, which Dhorn Corporation established in 2006. It encompasses the full range from upstream iron ore mine development to downstream steel products business (Dhorn Mineral and mining), and is stepping up initiatives targeting the burgeoning steel industry. In addition, we as a division must not forget to foster strong businesses for the future in order to realize sustained growth.
