The product which appeals to several demographic groups has grown to become a household name across the country.De-United Foods Industries Limited, makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, was incorporated in 1993 and officially commissioned in 1996 as a joint venture between Tolaram Group of Singapore and Salim Group from Indonesia. The company’s factory located in Ota, Ogun State is the first instant noodles plant in Nigeria and the largest in Africa. The company started with staff strength of about 500 and today has over 1,600 staff working in various departments. The group has two factories, one in Ota that started operating from a single line in 1996 but now boasts 5 lines. The other factory is located in Choba, Port-Harcourt in Rivers State, also boasting 4 lines.
