DE LA SELVA LTDA was born as an agricultural enterprise dedicated to the production of agricultural species seedlings and forest nurseries. We started our Hearts of Palm and Camu Camu crop planting in our farms Ichoa and Macondo.In 2002 we decided to venture into the production of jams and preserves using the raw material provided from our farms. In order to do that a small food processing plant was established in the South area of the city of Cochabamba. We process: Palm in brine (whole and sliced), palm dips (curry, hot, and natural), canned papaya (chopped or sliced), canned pineapple, and locoto salsa, fruit jam (papaya, pineapple, camu camu, cocona and tangerine), camu camu pulp, and camu camu infusion.Driven by the demand for our products internationally, we began the construction of a new facility in 2006, with larger capacity, infrastructure and equipment according to international standards. This facility is located in the tropic of Cochabamba, specifically in Isarzama (Km 243 road to Santa Cruz). With that we improved the quality of our products as well as the containers quality, focusing on international market. Since then we have been conducting commercial relationships with clients in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, France, Canada, Spain and Japan. Our mission for 2013 is to finish the implementation of the quality management system ISO 22000 along with the HACCP plan (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points). We will also be certified with KOSHER at the end of September. This will allow us to grow and satisfy the need of families for nutritious high quality food products.
