Chinook Trading Company was established in 1988 by Robert Scofield and partners. A fourth generation Oregonian, Scofield hoped to build a clothing and footwear company that would reflect the elegantly rugged, home spun spirit of the Pacific Northwest. Nearly 20 years later, Chinook Trading Company is still designing products that offer a winning blend of quality and value. Our designers are true Portlanders - they love their city and love its close proximity to mountains, rivers, and the ocean. Our clothing reflects this merge of city and natural landscape; featuring classic nature prints with a modern edge. Our footwear is similarly designed with the Northwest in mind; we aim to serve our customers with shoes that will support a love of hiking, fishing and exploring.
