Cafal is oldest matches factory in west Africa and remains the only one in senegal. This factory was established in 1951 in the city of dakar. Ever since, the company has build a reputation as the producer of the highest quality safety matches in the region. Winner of the oscar of innovation in Cameroon the company purshased the latest and most sophisticated machinery to higher its production. Cafal is still producing the highest quality safety matches to keep its good reputation.
The company owns a plantation participate at the reforestation of Senegal with a plantation of a 249 hectares with about 100 000 m3 (gmelina arborea or white beech) . Currently the company has over 168 employees.
