  • Company Introduction

The British Ironwork Centre is a family company, long dedicated to, and passionate about the preservation and creation of quality metal work, in all its forms

This wonderfully diverse resource is the back bone of our business, and one that we as both a family and company have spent generations painstakingly creating, collecting , researching and reproducing.

Among our stunning and varied collection of metal work you will find beautifully decorative items large and small for the home and garden. Some of our collections are faithful reproductions of beautiful ironwork, no longer seen today, whilst many are new improved items for the home, as glamourous and individual as their originals, but with contemporary twists.

As well as this our Centre is home to a splendid collection of magnificent animal sculptures from the majestic Silver Back Gorilla, to an adorable assortment of Farmyard animals. There really is something for everyone.

Our indoor show areas allow you to escape in to a treasure trove of must have trinkets and interior adornments, whilst our outdoor area is abundant with architectural structures and sculptures that must be seen to be believed.

Each of our items has been carefully crafted, sourced and sometimes even redesigned and to be able to share all of this with communities both local and further afield is our greatest privilege, and one which we hope will continue for even more generations to come.

The inspiration which led me to create this wonderful Ironwork Centre, was really quite simple.
Just four years ago, in 2008, my wife, Tracy, who is also a partner in our business, decided to set up a theatre company for amateur performers and singers, with the aim of raising * for our local community. Together we created a rehearsal studio, gained a hugely talented cast and to date, the Very Nice Production Company, as it was named has raised over 13,000.00ono, for Hope house hospice in Oswestry. They have also raised * for the Kibera Slum in Nairobi, which meant they were able to buy a huge water butt, for storing fresh, cheap drinking water. They have been able to attend lots of local fund raising events, singing and dancing their way into the hearts of the local community, whilst continuing to raise much needed monies for local causes, in and around Oswestry.
As a company, we are also very creative, and our passion is designing and redesigning fabulous new products, and bringing back to life many of the old and wonderful items of iron artwork that are no longer seen today. We have been able to delve deep, collect and recreate a huge range of stunning historical items, which would have been lost forever. Antique and vintage products, that are a joy to see and a delight to use.
Over the years we have had the pleasure of assisting many other companies and organisations, by providing them with artefacts, product and props, that we have been able to reproduce in stunning, and almost original quality.
We are proud to say, that many of our products can be seen in films, such as Nanny McPhee, television, dramas like Emerdale, and Holly oaks and including a brand new, and exciting drama coming to our screens in 2013 called paradise Ladies, where we were able to provide them with our exquisite Victorian lamp posts and lanterns.
Our stunning lacework Pavilions, gazebos and tree seats have also been featured with Mr Alan Titchmarsh, on love your garden, with the Royal Alexandria displayed at the renowned Grand Designs show, at the NEC in Birmingham.
We love, passionately what we do.
This wonderful resource, that can be recycled, time and again, is a fundamental part of our lives, and a product we cannot function without.
To be able to bring it to you, in a million different guises is our greatest joy!
