The manufacturing operations officially began in 1994 with a total of 36 employees, and soon became a pioneer in manufacturing Filter Fabric (Bolting Cloth) in Surat, India. It caters the demand of nearly 350 printing units in Surat and over 150 process house in India.Bhagirath Industries came into initiation in 2002 as a mother company which supplies Filter Fabric, "Baby Doll" Bemberg Duppattas (Bemberg- Cupro Fibre), Bemberg Chiffon Fabric, Embroidery Thread, Polyester and Nylon monofilament yarn and Cocoon Bobbin (Schiffli Back yarn).Cocoon bobbins also known as Schiffli back yarn is exclusively used for the under-thread component in multi-needle lockstitch "Schiffli" embroidery and quilting machines.
