Ak Kire§ Lime Factory was founded in 1963 by Muharrem AKKAYA. After he passes on, his sons Muzaffer AKKAYA and Hakkı AKKAYA took on the management and advancement of the company. The company started as a small unit and produced lime which was transported using baskets. In those days, ovens, heating and cooking processes were managed by hand. The company bought tractors and small trucks to deal with production. After 2003, the company has been managed by Ferdi and Fatih AKKAYA, who are grandchildren of Muharrem AKKAYA.Under the great management of Ferdi and Fatih AKKAYA Ak Kire§ still advances in every area. In response to advancements in the Lime production technology, they revised and applied the latest technologies to the factory. The company constructed a new facility with the latest technology to produce micronized lime and has produced micronized lime for the past two months.Ak Kire§ is selling its product line to leading metallurgy companies in Turkey.
