Established in 1987, Minermix is one of the most dynamic Italian realities in Lime production field and lime based products. Technological high-level structures always guarantee a suitable production to specific demands.
The Society has two establishments situated in the South of Italy and in proximity of the ports of Gallipoli (to 20 Km.), Otranto (to 40 Km.), Brindisi (to 70 Km) and Taranto (to 120 Km.), from which the Lime, destined for sea, is normally exported to Mediterranean Countries.
The establishments are equipped with:
three vertical kilns fed to gas methane, also using own limestone sites extracted;
two hydration fittings;
a plant for dry ready-mixed production;
a plant for house building finished product;
a plant of milling,
a proprietary quarry (extraction of limestone).
The high calcium quicklime and dolomitic quicklime, considered both as finished product as semi finished product, at the kilns exit, it is selected, hydrated or mixed and finally manufactured for the production and sale of:
Quicklimein lump, briquettes, fine granular and micronized is used in the Steel Industry, in Ecology, in Constructions and House building, in Cellular Cement, in Glass, in Chemistry, in Tanning of the skins, in Oil and Agriculture;
Hydrated limeis used in the Constructions, in the combustion smokes and waters Treatment, in Agriculture, for grounds Stabilization, etc;
Mortar, Plaster, Filler plaster, they are used in the Building constructions;
Desulphurizing Mixturesfor steel use in the Steel plants is employed for molten cast iron and steel treatment.
The ability to interpret the demands of the clients in symbiosis with the continuous search of quality has allowed Minermix s.r.l. to create a Calcium Oxide and derivative products portfolio (calcic type and dolomitic one), as a natural result of tradition and technology.
