Sahaviriya Steel Teesside is a modern iron and steelmaking facility which sits on a coastal site located in Redcar, andsituated in the North East of England. The site has an efficientplant layout and excellent infrastructure, integrated with adeep-water berth and ore terminal for easy access to imported rawmaterials. The Teesside iron and steel making facility, is fullyintegrated from raw material agglomeration, coke making, through toiron & steel making and power generation. The blast furnace atRedcar is the second largest blast furnace in Europe is linked to amodern steel making facility, which has an annual steel slabproduction capacity of 3.5 million tonnes. Sahaviriya SteelTeesside is a Tier 1 World steel slab producer with a proven trackrecord of producing various advanced steel grades. Our acquisition and planned investment is a restoration and rejuvenation of the Teesside’s steel making facility and its 160 years of heritage. This 160 years of history is the history of modern steel making itself and is the longest of such in the World. The passion that the Teesside community has for the steel industry is second to none in the World, and the area is blessed with highly-skilled and hard-working workforce and experienced engineers.
