This way each OEM does not have to invest duplicate energies in developing the same technology. We have developed OCR technology with a partner by way of proxy specifically for currency serialization and have exclusive rights to license the technology. While the core technology is scanner independent, there is certain software glue that is needed to adapt it to different image formats and resolution.
