Rum City Produce was established in May 2004 when they started growing vegetables on a regular basis for the Markets in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, Australia.Owning in excess of 25 hectares of fertile river loam with all year undercover growing facilities, Rum City Produce has the capabilities of growing most vegetable products.The business has attained Freshcare (Certificate number FC403221, expiry 1/3/2008) and ICA ( Certification number ICA01 -Q9706-01, expiry 8/8/2008) accreditations for the entry of produce into all markets within Australia.The business is also able to supply first class chilli products or chilli puree to most countries.With well qualified staff and employees Rum City Produce is well placed to deliver quality product most of the year round. The field manager is well qualified for the role and complements the owners in the day to day organization and running of this family business.Simon Ewald - Field Manager.1999 - 2001 - Attended the Australian College of Tropical Agriculture where he completed a Diploma of Applied Science. (Crop Production).2001 - May 2006 - Simon worked as an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Consultant at Crop Tech, Bundaberg. He specialised in Pest and Disease Monitoring for local growers in a range of horticultural and tree crops. Within this time he also gained valuable experience in plant nutrition.June 2006 - Present - Employed as Field Manager for Rum City Produce.Wayne Ewald - Production Manager & Partner.May 2004 - Present - Wayne has run the business at Bundaberg and is responsible for the employees and production on the farm.Ken Ewald - Marketing Manager & Partner.Ken is responsible for the marketing and admin. of the bus.
