Pine Oil Special, A Special Ore Floatation Grade Of Pine Oil. General PINE OIL is distilled from the pine needle but the best essence comes from the heart of the wood. Pine oil is a derivative of turpentine obtained by steam distillation of the species pinus. It has a strong piney odor and is miscible with alcohol. The oil has a fresh fragrance with a resinous woody undertone. Used widely In Paints as an antifoaming agent in water emulsion paints, increases the flow of the paint, creates a bond between the emulsifiers controls the separation of the paint, controls the cracking of the paint after application, gives a glossy shine and preserves the paint from drying.Used in soap industries for disinfectant properties.
