Founded in 1990, Old-Modern Handicrafts (OMH) is a family owned and operated business and a leading manufacturer of high quality wooden ship models. We produces more than one thousand different scale models. The selection from our factory includes historic tall ships, ancient boats, modern speed boats, ocean liners and modern cruise ships, yachts and warships. Our models are proudly displayed in many homes, offices, hotels, restaurants as well as in luxurious galleries and museums around the worls.Beside scale models, Omh also makes wooden canoes and kayaks that not only look beautiful but also perform very well on the water. These boats are strip built from Canadian western red cedar and are encapsulated in fiberglass. This method produces a very strong hull yet gives complete transparency to the finish, so that the beauty of the wood is protected, cherished and preserved for generation.
