We are a farm-to-the-barChocolate (and by-products) makers located in Costa Rica. Our GrandCru begins with the selection of the cacao beans. We grow, harvest,ferment, dry and select our own cacao, from the Trinitario sort.The complete transformation from the cacao bean to our exclusivechocolate occurs in our own factory in Costa Rica. The plantationis based on the principle of sustainable agriculture in harmonywith nature. We are a small sized cocoafarm (10 employees, 50.000 kilos/year of sundried fermented cocoabeans). In 2011 we were awarded in the Salon duChocolat as the Best Cocoa Bean for Central Americaand the Caribbean (http://www.cocoaofexcellence.org/index.php option=com_content&view=article&id=73&Itemid=63) Besides beans, we alsoproduce chocolate bars (70%, milk, and flavored bars), covertures,cacao nibs, coffee (ground and whole beans), honey, cocoa butterand natural cocoa powder.
