ABOUT OUR COMPANY MANHA'S TEXTEIS, Lda. THE COMPANYS HISTORY Ourcompany began operating in 1962 and, for almost 14 years,production was limited to traditional blankets made on wooden loomsand knitted jumpers made using manually-operated machines. In thenineties, new machines were purchased and production was tailoredto the childrens fashion sector. In 1999, the familys secondgeneration represented by Amrico and Jorge Manha changed thecompanys name from Josafil to Manha's Texteis and, in so doing,further differentiated the company and more closely identified itwith the family name. In addition, from this moment on, the companyfocused on the area of home textiles and, in particular, onknitted, Jacquard, Intarsia and Aran, blankets and cushions.Increasing production came alongside technically modernisingequipment and productive processes - a process which culminated in2002. PRODUCTS We specialise in producing knitted blankets both forbeds and decorative purposes in the different sizes which are mostcommon in this product range: 75 x 100; 80 x 100; 90 x 90; 90 x120; 120 x 160; 130 x 170; 140 x 200; 150 x 220; 220 x 260 y275x280 cm. Our priorities are satisfying our customers, the highquality of our products achieved through very carefully selectingraw materials and applying the most modern design trends to ourproduction line. AIMS Since starting out, exporting has been a keycomponent of our strategy. We have markets in countries asdifferent as Germany, Spain and Holland continue to strive towardsbreaking into other markets. The quality of our products togetherwith our competitive prices enables us to strongly attract bothintermediaries and end consumers. For this reason, we are nowbuilding new relationships with potential customers in the middleand upper sectors of the market. This will allow us to increase ourspeed, flexibility and profitability, as well as to better satisfyour customers.
