The Korea Furniture Company, Ltd. was established in May, 1966 for manufacturing and marketing of high quality wooden household and office furniture. The company's major market was initially foreign banks, joint venture companies and embassies in Seoul area, and major delux hotels in Korea such as Shilla, Hilton, Hyatt, Plaza and Inter-continental.The company has expanded its operations for export by acquiring sizable contracts-such as with the Coca Cola USA head office in Atlanta, G.A.(in the amount of US$ 6.5 million), Imam University, riyad, Saudi Arabia (appx. US$ 3.5 million) and many high quality hotels in Japan.The company has been operated by Ki-Kon Choi, the chairman, and his son, Hoon-Hack Choi, the president who both are its major stock-holders.
