'Joes Berries' is a company established in early 2007 with the ambition of claiming back the local Christchurch strawberry (and in the future raspberry) market that has ben absorbed by Auckland commerical growers.A particular focus has been on developing good off season growing methods to capture a lucrative time in the strawberry selling market (winter is when prices of strawberries double or triple). The strawberries grown in off season (winter) and regular season are from hothouse/greenhouse and traditional outdoor soil sources. Establishing a delivery service to local business has been key to our success and popularity, eg restaurants and regular strawberry users.The main company aim is to undercut supermarkets supply in terms of lower prices and better quality product to revive Christchurches love for fresh berries.
