My company purchases large quantities of scrap auto batteries from automobile salvage yards in the New England area of the US.
These batteries are cleaned, charged, segragated by manufacturin date and place single layer on palletts for resale as usable batteries. The remaining batteries are sold as scrap batteries in full 45,000 lb loads.
