Main Business
Cittadini Spa has been successfully producing fishing nets for over 70 years. Started as a handmade activity in 1935 on Iseo Lake, famous for the workmanship of the nets, it has been continued since 1980 in Paderno Franciacorta, near Brescia, in an very modern factory where the whole cycle of production has been structured in a vertical system and mostly automatized with the installation of technologically superior machinery.
At the same time, highly specialized production lines have been set up for the manufacture of sewing threads and twisted yarns for nets weaving and technical uses.
In this way, two divisions were singled out inside Cittadini Spa and still characterize its main activities:
- nets weaving, diversified and widened besides the traditional fishing nets, to include nets for agriculture, safety in building sector and other applications
- twisting of the yarns: it covers all the different twines for fishing nets and the whole range of sewing threads in nylon and polyester for industrial uses.
