BioAtlantis Ltd. was founded in 2004 and is located in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland. The company was founded with the objective of identifying solutions to problems caused by stresses which impact upon biological processes in plants, animals and humans.Since then, BioAtlantis has put in place the foundations to be a successful high-growth company. These foundations include a large body of scientific data and the filing of a number of patents. A fully automated extraction facility has been commissioned together with approval licenses. BioAtlantis is the first company in the British Isles to be granted a mechanical harvesting license for specific species of seaweed, which are sources of key bio actives.
