Best Telecom started in the prepaid phone card business in 1994 as Tri-State Communications with a million-* contract with MCI. Upon fulfilling this contract, Best Telecom moved on to the more competitive and lucrative retail market with lower rate cards. We quickly became the largest distributor in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Eastern Ohio.
This rapid success led Best Telecom into the production of our own prepaid phone card products, entering the market with a single, no-surcharge product. Today, Best Telecom offers over 15 products including surcharge and no-surcharge cards, POSA and target market?cards, targeting certain international regions.
Best Telecom is a privately owned corporation and has been a manufacturer of prepaid phone cards since 1995. We currently serve 258 distributors in over 40 states and have retail sales averaging approximately 30 million *s per year.
