Beki-Shield® GR stainless steel fibreshave proven to be very efficient as filler materials for electrically conductive plastics. Very low amounts are sufficient to fulfil specifications and regulations for Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). The chopped fibers are bound together with polymeric binders specific for various polymer resins. They can be used as a master batch and have been designed for easy dispersion into the polymer matrix.Plastics with stainless steel fibers are also available as dry blend or melt compound, from a number of specialty compounders.
