APS Materials is a Thermal Coating service provider for biomedical, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, and mining industries. Facilities include coatings by subsonic Atmospheric Plasma Spray, controlled inert atmospheres, vacuum or low-pressure plasma, and High-Velocity Oxy-Fuel HVOF. The biomedical department common products are hip, knee, dental, and spine implants coated with porous Titanium or Hydroxyapatite (HA Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2). Semiconductor coatings include Yttrium Oxide, Aluminum Oxide, Yttria-Stabilized Zirconium Oxide (YSZ), silicon, silicon carbide, and Alumina-Titania mixtures. The mining division applies Vacuum Plasma Sprayed Titanium Dioxide to ball valve ball & seat stack heights for the nickel mining industry and other ore mining industries. Our Aerospace division applies corrosion and thermal barrier coatings to turbine blades and aircraft components. The CerAnode division provides cathodic protection for underground systems where ionic corrosion are major problems.
